Libraries

Improve the quality of user services by:

• extending library opening hours;
• expanding metropolitan inter-library loans;
• providing a discovery tool available;
• improving services, in general, partly by reference to the results of user satisfaction surveys;
• providing a central repository for lesser consulted bibliographic materials;
• identifying locations within the University Library System (SBA) that could benefit from logistic unification;
• promoting the Bologna University Library (BUB) and its wealth of resources;
• acquisition of an e-publishing platform to offer the community copyright-protected bibliographic material;
• acquisition of textbooks in digital form, especially from Italian publishers;
• an app checking libraries and study rooms seats availability.
• Implementation of RFID technology to offer automated circulation in the main libraries.
