The overall project for the district envisages expansion of the original plan for Chemistry and Astronomy, to include the teaching and research activities of the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology. In addition to the current building used as a coffee shop and restaurant, the premises will also include additional student services thanks to the construction of a new hall with about 100 places, new study rooms, leisure and sport areas. Furthermore, the project envisages strong synergies with INAF and CNR and the complex will become a scientific-teaching hub of international importance, capable of leading major research programmes. Alongside completion of the University premises, the Municipality will work to integrate the district within the urban fabric, in terms of connections, mobility and environmental sustainability.
