A strategy that combines teaching, research and support and involves the Region, local entities and all the towns and cities that host Bologna University campuses: Cesena, Forlì, Ravenna, and Rimini, each with its facilities and healthcare functions representing specific local commitments.
Initiatives include the launch of two new Medicine and Surgery degree programmes, in Forlì and Ravenna, and a training network for internships and specialization schools. The two Medicine decree programmes will be supported by AUSL Romagna and numerous local bodies and private funders. In Ravenna's territory, these will include Fondazione Flaminia, the Municipality of Ravenna, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna, Fondazione del Monte, Gruppo Villa Maria, Istituto Oncologico Romagnolo. In the Forlì area, contributors will include Fondazione Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì, the Municipality of Forlì through Ser.in.ar, Italo Carfagnini (Macifin), Istituto Oncologico Romagnolo, Gruppo Villa Maria, Maria Grazia and Giuseppe Silvestrini.

New teachers and professional staff will be recruited to support the quality of the new courses and new facilities and the necessary equipment will be made available.
