The plan for the new Cesena Campus became reality when the new scientific-teaching hub for Engineering, Computer Science and Architecture opened at the beginning of the 2018-19 academic year.

The project, developed in collaboration with the Municipality, Serinar and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena, is under way since August 2018, when work started on the hall of residence for students and teaching services, which will be followed by the construction of the new Psychology premises, whose plan is currently being developed.

The work considerably improved the quality of the services and once completed it will rationalise the University premises into just two complexes within the city: the Cesena Campus and the Villa Almerici Agricultural and Food Sciences complex with the annexed Tecnopolo.

The Aquaculture and Fish Production Hygiene Centre in Cesenatico opened in September 2018. A second stage of the plan will lead to the completion of the research laboratories.
