Since 2007, the Engineering and Architecture area has steadily migrated a series of teaching and research activities to the Via Terracini site. This process will now be completed with a new teaching block, a hall with 400 places and a building to house the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering (DICAM) and the Bologna UOS of the Department of Architecture (DA). In terms of logistics and mobility, the district will be served by the People Mover from 2019 – with the Lazzaretto campus as the only intermediate stop between the Central Station and the Airport – which will provide an efficient and rapid link to the station and the city centre.
