Since 1990, the location has housed the teaching and research functions of the Agricultural area, which currently comprises two departments: Agricultural Sciences (DIPSA) and Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL). The complex extends over about 40,000 m2 and comprises high-quality buildings, both in terms of construction and architectural design.

Work is now needed to adapt the functional use of spaces and meet the requirements of the Departments of Excellence Project. A plan developed to upgrade the installations will be implemented over the mandate period in order to meet the various functional requirements, with specific reference to teaching activities and student services.
